Description of Enhanced MSD 8227 Blaster TFI Ignition Coil: Maximize Performance with Reliable Ignition

Designed to work with stock ignition systems as well as mad-equipped cars and trucks. Each coil has a unique turns ratio plus reduced primary resistance. Bolt-in replacement coil produces increased output voltage. If you plan to install an MSD Ignition with your blaster Ford TFI coil, use a PN 8874 harness for easy plug-in installation.

Coil MSD ignition 8227 Blaster TFI. Good product!

I bought this for my 1993 Ford F150 with a 5.0 liter V8 engine. Fit and finish are perfect. Looks great with my MSD distributor cap and cables. Very easy to install, one plug and four screws. That's all. It took 5 minutes. My engine no longer oscillates.

Defective or inferior part. Do not buy!

coils lasted 1 hour 20 minutes. Parked the jeep and went to the store; The jeep wouldn't start. I installed the old coil and the jeep started right away. The coil is definitely crap for any ignition system running at optimal performance. There are far more bad reviews about this role than good ones, and they are definitely deserved.

AVOID. Please do not buy.

AVOID! Avoid. Do not buy. I installed this coil in my Bronco which I drive about 5,000 miles a year. He worked for about 9 months, after which he left me on the side of the road. I had to haul it home 20 miles then put a 5 year old coil in it and it works fine. I seem totally confused. If you read all the reviews in full you will see that many other people had the same problem after a few thousand kilometers. If you buy this keep a spare coil in your glove box.

Ignition Coil MSD 8227 Blaster TFI

The manufacturers of the MSD 8227 Blaster TFI ignition coil have obviously started to make them cheaper and from inferior materials. In the photo, this coil is older (black and red), they are better finished. I have two of these and they still work perfectly. Despite the picture, the new MSD Blaster Coils are bright orange, lighter and cheaper. I know I ordered one of the new orange MSD coils and after about three months it overheated and failed. Left me in the middle of the road Luckily I had…
