These oil drain plugs are made in Wisconsin and appear to be of excellent quality. Stainless steel and very strong magnet. Are they as good as a dimple or a gold cork? I don't know firsthand, but they're about $10-$15 cheaper than the dimples. Is it necessary for all engines? No, but it's quiet. Keep in mind that this requires a non-reusable aluminum disc that needs to be replaced every time. No, a rubber O-ring cannot be used even at low temperatures. A pack of Pucks via Votex costs about $10 and lasts a while.
