I installed this in my 08 Ram Mega Cab 5.7 and so far so good. 3 days after I installed this someone pulled me right in front of me and I had to hit the brakes. It stopped quickly and smoothly as expected without jamming. My old master cylinder could only brake soft to medium, anything hard would lock the rear wheels. This fixed the issue and I'll let you know if anything changes. When changing I used Prestone brake fluid. One thing I noticed when bleeding the bench was that one of the fittings wasn't fully covering the line and was sucking air. I used the Dorman Bench Bleed Kit at AutoZone. UPDATE: After 2 years this master cylinder is starting to fail. My brakes got spongy for about a full minute and then went back to normal. No fun with a 2,000 pound load in bed, I don't trust myself anymore. The brakes could hardly stop my truck from rolling just because it was moving.
