Let me say that this vendor isn't the only one touting the speed of their hubs, despite being twice the price of the other two. this is the third i have bought since i got the mac mini m1 which slows down connected drives by about 30%. I have a 1050MB/s Sandisk Extreme SSD and when plugged directly into the Lightning connector it hits an amazing speed of around 900MB/s as measured in the Blackmagic speed test. the same drive connected to this hub connected to the Thunderbolt port will not exceed 600MB/s. I'm desperate if I have a dedicated 20 or 40GB/s Thunderbolt hub to realize full drive speed because they are almost as expensive as a 2TB SSD drive. So far I see the only solution as I have a second Sandisk Extreme Coming (2TB). I just need to use two ports for two drives and use a USB-A adapter for the hub, although that seems like a waste of money given the USB -generation a v3.1 2 ports are capable of transferring 10Gbps, but it has been found that the hub cannot reach this speed. Oh, and why is Amazon asking me to rate durability and reliability - I had it for about 10 minutes. :)/Guy
