Review on ASUS ZenScreen MB16ACE Portable External 15.6" Monitor, Full HD 1920x1080, 60Hz Refresh Rate, Flicker-Free, Blue Light Filter, IPS Panel by Justin Clayton

After the pandemic, I had to give my son my job so he could do well in school. I've used dual screen for years but now I work in mobile quality on a laptop while moving around the house and miss my dual screens which are bulky and not portable. I have trusted ASUS for quality power supplies, cases and mobile devices since I have been gaming for over 20 years, but I no longer play PC games. I bought the ASUS MB168B monitor just for programming and it suits my needs perfectly. It's USB 3.0 powered, eliminating the need for other dangling cables, and the display is sharp enough for my needs. The maximum resolution is only 1366 x 768 at 60 Hz, which is perfect. I go through static code/programming and a lot of project management stuff and compare all day to make sure it's actually doing its display function while coding on my laptop main screen. I didn't notice any lag, flickering or weird issues. I also work in low light so I was able to dim the brightness to match the brightness of my laptop's LCD screen. The upside is that this monitor is anti-glare (no shine or shine on the screen), it's very light and thin. The monitor is plug and play. So if you have an admin-locked Windows 10 PC or laptop (like my hapless teleworker wife) that you don't have admin rights to, you can still install drivers for the monitor, but you can't change the brightness, even from the side buttons of the screen, or change the display from horizontal to vertical. I have admin rights, but even without them the monitor worked as expected on Windows 10. There is also a 3 year manufacturer warranty and it was only 129.00 so I bought the same one for my wife. The only caveat I see is that if you're clumsy, be careful with the monitor as it can easily slide left or right out of the included soft case when you tilt the stand. A simple solution would be to simply attach Velcro to the back of the panel. Another caveat: Make sure you fully insert the panel in the included case into the 2-inch fabric sides inside the foldable slim case. If you don't, I can easily see the monitor popping out from one side and being slick. Both of my screens were also made in China (which isn't the case these days) and in October 2020 if that helps decide. So it boils down to this: either hold down ALT-TAB to switch between panels, or "Microsoft Key" + "Arrow key" left or right and split the laptop screen between the two panels and agonizingly swipe left and right within panels Or get this ASUS MB168B LCD and start drawing code, Visio and Gantt charts faster. more time for family and other commitments. Yes, you reduce your working hours and your productivity increases, leaving you more time for other tasks. Hope that helps.
