I replaced my ceiling light with these and am happy with the gold colour. After reading the reviews I'm concerned it might look too "pink". For me this is normal. I also bought a brushed nickel in the same style but in the end I find the gold color looks better. A few things I hope can be improved are 1. The small top cap is 4.3 inches and cannot cover an existing hole in the ceiling. I need to paste the mesh and then paint to make the hole in the ceiling smaller. The other brushed nickel pad is 4.73 inches and has good coverage. 2. Ground wire The ground wire seems weak. I would prefer just 1 solid brass wire. 3. Wire Nuts The wires are short and difficult to use with wire nuts with existing solid brass wires. I ended up using Wago connectors which are simple and secure. 4. Locknuts. This is a small suggestion. It'll be cleaner without those overhead nuts. Instead, like many other ceiling lights, a screw cap will look better and work better. Overall it looks a lot better than the one I replaced. Now more elegant.
