The smell is wrong.
I have tuna taste and it doesn't smell like tuna. Smells like peanut butter and baking soda. My cat hates the smell and wasn't too happy when I rubbed toothpaste on his teeth. Many years ago I learned not to use a finger brush. The tooth seems too big for a cat's mouth. It is also mild for everyday use but cannot remove tartar. I use smelly toothpaste to get my cat to move away from me.
