Works as advertised. You shouldn't connect two ethernet cables together as this is said to degrade the connection, but it seems to work fine. I have connected a 50 foot Cat 7 Ethernet to a 15 foot Cat 7 Ethernet through this port and I don't see it slowing down my internet at all. So I'm fine, it's working, and I have wired internet, which works much better than the WiFi at my house.
