Excellent oil for working meat blocks and kitchen knives

I am very impressed with the quality and price. I originally bought this to process a new cutting block that I received as a gift. Before using the block for the first time I had to apply 5 coats of oil before it was sufficiently absorbed into the wood. After that, after washing the record, I apply a thin coat of oil. It is also very useful for all kitchen utensils with wooden handles as it helps keep the handles intact and prevent them from breaking. It is also particularly suitable for finishing knife blades after sharpening and washing. Even stainless steel will begin to oxidize and scar the edge of the blade if not oiled properly. While vegetable oil can also serve this purpose, it has a tendency to degrade and go rancid over time. Mineral oil does not spoil. I raise layers and sometimes get "dirty" eggs. I wash them, but that removes the natural "color" that the eggs hold. So after washing and drying, I wipe them down with mineral oil, which acts as an artificial barrier against wear. The bottom line is that this stuff fills a lot of application needs, and at this price point, you can't beat it.
