I have used this oil to finish and protect the cutting boards I make (see picture). It's more fluid and penetrates deeper into the wood, which is good. The oil is odorless and optically transparent. This might be because it was packaged in a rectangular plastic jar that held just over a gallon. It didn't look like anything was spilled during shipping as there was no dirt in the shipping box and the seal was intact.
