It was pretty easy. I bought 3M glue to make sure it stays in place. (I cook and stew a lot.) I started on the right side and went to the left. I placed my work on a granite countertop, thinking that I would then be able to fill the slabs near the cabinets last. I can see that other people have left a small gap near the countertop and jmo, but I think this makes it clear that this is not a real tile. So I suggest laying the first tile down and touching the top of the countertop. Then I just needed a piece 2 tiles wide to cover the top (which will be the bottom of my closet). The tile is 12 inches high and I would say my cabinet counter is almost 13 inches high. In this small area I used 14 tiles. QUICK TIP ABOUT OUTLET: When I got to the outlets, I put a bit of nail polish on each corner where the outlet meets the wall. Then I put the tile (art3d paper still covering the glue) on the wall. I pressed and the polish left 4 dots so I could see the width and length to make the starting hole. Some use chalk. That works too. Much luck!
