Review on Water cooling system for ID-COOLING FROSTFLOW X 240 processor, black by Micha Kochaski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Well done, but I wont buy any more.

I bought it in the 20th year for ~ 3K, i. E. for the price of a good tower in those days. I wanted a cool looking PC. Almost 24/7 usage, moderate loads, half the time idle. For a year, the quality of cooling has decreased to an absolutely unacceptable level! Namely: Ryzen 5 2600 at 3.7GHz, 1.2V in the stress test, an average of 86 degrees with peaks up to 90. Conditions: no dust, MX-4 fresh, 23 degrees indoors. I did not wait for the end of the warranty, I took it apart - see the photo. The scale on the radiator was not taken with any chemistry, it was scraped off with a blade, it was not possible to clean it to the ideal, the blade is thicker than the distance between the radiator fins. I didn’t take a picture of the drained water, but it’s like a puddle there. He removed all the dirt, washed it three times, filled it with distillate. Capacity - approximately 130 ml. I connected it to the connector, drove it, topped up the liquid with the help of a convenient BOLT UNDER THE LABEL on the radiator. Bottom line: the conditions are the same, the percentage is the same at 4GHz, 1.3V in the stress test, an average of 65 degrees with peaks up to 70. As a result, I put 4 stars in total, a good dropsy, but only after a complete flush and maintenance. There is nothing complicated in the procedure, you need a screwdriver, a syringe and distillate, see the instructions on the Internet, ask questions if you have any.

Pros
  • - Price (until March 2022) - Quite serviced (although it is written that it is not) - Appearance - A good radiator as in more expensive dropsies - Cool braided hoses - better than some of the more expensive dropsies - Tightness - Silent pump
Cons
  • - Illumination only white - Need to be serviced almost immediately after purchase (see comment)
