Very cool model, just doesn't work

This model is for those who pay attention to details. Grinding, waxing and careful assembly ensure the main gearbox runs very smoothly. But then, after the rubber bands and frame are in place, nothing moves smoothly unless the gears are moved by your fingers. It's such a shame as this model has features I haven't seen in other wooden models such as wooden gears turning in wooden bushings. and a pair of wooden thrust roller bearings. Very fancy design but it ties after attaching the frame and elastics.
