If you just want to decorate they are good they look nice especially for this price. But they don't produce light. I read that they were dim but thought they would be close to the illuminance of cheap Christmas lights. I bought these to replace some of the cheap Christmas lights I had over my bed and thought they would create a similar dim lighting effect at night with just my laptop screen on. I wasn't expecting them to emit no light at all, you hardly notice they turn on in the dark, but that's about it. It doesn't matter if they're on or off, they don't even light up the wall next to them. But they are nice as decoration and look good, I just expected them to work like a real light source, even a dim one.
