We have different types of muslin blankets but this one was so unique I couldn't miss it. Arrived as expected. 2 layers. Super adorable pattern. Very silky and soft feel. A bit "tough" for want of a better word, fresh out of the box but not yet washed or used, that's about to change. I usually prefer a wide binding and was afraid that style would be stiff but I really liked the pretty pictures so I took a chance and was glad the binding is neither stiff nor rigid and doesn't feel like fabric. a tube. No holes, no snags, no pressure marks, definitely 47" x 47", and the seams feel strong and well sewn. Although the cost is more than I would normally like (I'm a bit of a Scrooge), it was worth it because it's such a beautiful blanket. There's a slightly odd smell coming out of the packaging, like a new memory foam mattress before airing, but nothing harsh or chemical and it will go away with a quick wash. Generally very satisfied so far. Update: Incredibly silky softness after washing on the hand wash cycle alone! Love it!
