Wow. First, let me say that I'm an Asics through and through. Love her, that's all I wear; Nimbus, Venture etc are all in my closet. I even bought a pair to mow the yard and I've really tried them, but the cons outweigh the pros here. First, the tongue is part of the sides (I know it sounds weird, but it's true), so unless you have the skinniest legs, you might not be able to wear them. I ended up having to cut my tongue on both sides to put it on. Yes, they're comfortable, sort of. Then they have some weird fancy bottoms that are pretty smooth but still have those little round things. Well, if you have carpet in your house or where you're going to be walking, these little round things will grab the carpet and kind of stick the shoes to the carpet. You actually try to pull out the fibers of the carpet as you walk, very strange. I have given these children a few months and have nothing good to say. They're comfortable (they're Asics after all) but having to cut the fabric of the tongue to wear them and those nifty rounded things are a deal breaker for me. I bought another pair of lawn mower shoes.
