Brand new axle at great price. I didn't buy a refurbished one because you never know what condition it was in before and how well it was rebuilt (play in the hinges) without tearing it apart. I usually have something like that with a conversion, but not with an axle, a master brake cylinder or a water pump. Well, with that being said, there are some issues with the brand new one as well. ie first 2000 km there was vibration at certain speeds, not that the car fell apart but my wife noticed it and she doesn't always notice such things. I have attributed the vibration to wear on the new axle (when I installed the axle it was very stiff, I don't mean a little stiff as usual, it was very stiff). After about 2000 km everything was fine. We've had the axle tight for about 6,000 miles and it's buttery smooth. At first I can live with a little vibration.
