The video says it all, but it's a pretty cool adapter. As with the newer ring adapters that hold the ring so that you can just plug the male end into the socket, this is a simple push-to-connect operation. Just like the o-ring on my new compressor, the part stays trapped and sealed when you detach the hose by pressing the button. The difference is that with the ring adapter I just have to pull on the hose as it is held in friction fit and I expect it to wear out over time. Here the part is still fully captured and a second press of the button releases it again. Alternatively, you can go ahead and plug back in to turn the supply back on, which keeps the hose ends clean but allows leaky hoses to be disconnected to save air!
