I've had no trouble putting batteries in and they are surprisingly bright. I don't mind that they didn't come with batteries because they were cheap to begin with and I was able to find good quality batteries to buy so I know they will last a long time. The magnet is strong enough to keep the light in the car. I put them in the back of my car and threw it up pretty hard and they didn't budge. So I am sure they will have no problem staying in a parked car! I say all complaints are nonsense. It was a great purchase and I wanted to buy more of these but when I checked again they were sold out.
