If you're looking for a 'strong hold' beard wax, this is it. I have what I would call a more professional, groomed, medium length beard and the Bearded Goon keeps it in place really well. The wax is very hard, even if scraped off with the back of a fingernail. I carry beard oil and this combined with the oil residue on my hands makes it easier to emulsify the wax between my fingers and then apply it to my beard. In fact, I would say that using it without beard oil would be extremely difficult. You can either comb it in and leave it in or blow dry it lightly to give it a smoother look. Yes, the jar is small, but I probably use about half the wax I've used with other brands, and the hold is still much better.
