Simply impractical to use. This wax requires heat to apply. You simply melt the wax to make it creamy enough to apply. Despite this, it is very difficult to apply it evenly, because it cools and hardens immediately. The odor is very strong and smells of pine. Interesting but too strong. The scent lasts longer than any product I've ever used. The wax you apply to your beard will set quickly, leaving a firm hold. I prefer real Amish wax. But I want a tighter fixation. I will search.

Before using Bearded Goon wax I used Honest Amish Balm. Well, both are great companies, but the Honest Amish balm just didn't hold my beard like this product did. If you're looking for a 'strong hold' beard wax, this is it. I have what I would call a more professional, groomed, medium length beard and the Bearded Goon keeps it in place really well. The wax is very hard, even if scraped off with the back of a fingernail. I carry beard oil and this combined with the oil residue on my hands makes it easier to emulsify the wax between my fingers and then apply it to my beard.
