Review on Brother PT 65 P Touch Labeler Screen by Joseph Pudic

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Label manufacturers are still going strong

It seems to me that I have this thing forever. To be honest I bought it in 2005 and it probably cost around $30. I still use it to print folder labels, dividers, drawers, binders, etc. It looks and works the same today as it did almost 9 years ago when I bought it. return. The price Revain is selling today is insane - probably because it's so dated - so you can try today's Brother P-touch for less than $50. I'm not an active user. I use it in snapshots. I will print 5-10 labels in a day and then stop using them for several months. The biggest complaint - and you've heard it before - is the cost of the ribbon and how much is wasted in printing. I try to use full size as much as possible, but when I'm marking folder dividers (my #1 for this machine) I have to trim the ends. Annoying but nonetheless I've been using my Brother P-touch for many years and I'm glad it has lasted this long. It also uses 6 batteries, so be sure to turn it off between prints, even if you're making multiple labels at once. It turns off automatically after a few minutes, but get used to turning it off yourself to save money.

Pros
  • QWERTY keyboard
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

A nice simple label maker. We had one at work and I bought one for myself.
