After 3 weeks of light use, it no longer works reliably! Ordered this to replace an old Craftsman keyless panel. Installed and has been working flawlessly for 3 weeks now. Then he can miss you depending on his mood! We called support service, they said to replace the included 9v battery with a new one. I did it and it worked fine for a week. The woman was locked up during a rainstorm (not good). Email answered by support and no response. I check their website, other people had the same complaint. What bothered me was that they didn't ask for the S/N or date of manufacture. I thought they would find out if they have a faulty batch or want to trace it. If it worked I would give it 4 out of 5 stars. The physical part is good, but the configuration/setup was more difficult than other keyboards. UPDATE: Replacement 877Max received and installed. Figured out what the problem is after blocking. I programmed the device in the garage and tested it in my hands before installing it. When it worked I installed it outside the house. The location was right on top of a garage door panel, about 4 feet high. I then entered the code and the garage door opened as expected. Then I entered the code to open the door and it did NOT work (a lot of 4 letter words). Here's what I found out. I have a metal garage door with two glass windows on top. At a height of 4 feet, the signal was blocked by a metal door. When I booted the 877 to window level it worked. I played many games and it was true. That's why it worked when I installed it in the garage and outside when the door was open. Once the door is closed, it doesn't work. You can install it at window level, but if you have children, make sure they can reach it.
