If you've read any of my other reviews here on Revain you may have seen me mention that we have six cats, one of which is Hell on Wheels is. (Paw.). This cat is fearless and will laugh in the face of danger or anything else that would frighten any normal cat or even human. Although we love him to death (when he's asleep), he's a furniture destroyer. Little turkey loves to crawl along the bottom edges of chairs, sofas, bedsteads and more like he's Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible. Three suggestions how to do it. Yes, his little killer gloves. Most anti-scratch products are for the outside corners of the furniture, like the corner of a sofa armrest, and not for the corner where the front of the upholstered furniture meets the bottom. Trying to make your own reverse wrapping tape as long as a full size sofa is impossible. And this furry yogu's antics encourage our other cats, especially his sister from another master, to try new and exciting ways to tear down our home around us while we sleep. She's already tried his reverse zipper trick on the floor and thinks it's a lot of fun. Furniture. First we attached them to the corners of his favorite sofa. The good news is that these streaks prevented his sister from joining his activities. The bad news is that this little millionaire doesn't give a fuck about a rat's ass. Apparently we just gave him a better grip so he can now reach around the couch even faster than he could with his claws alone. He loves it so much he brought me a dead mouse to play with (we live in a village across from a nature reserve so we occasionally get mice which kill our cats quickly but then they play with the body while we stop them and bury creature with dignity). The only other time we got "gifts" was when we brought them home a giant scratching post playhouse, so yeah. He really loves this tape. He will sit and tape his paws to it, one front paw then the other, and even tape his cat toy to the tape and then brush it off for fun. Our other five NORMAL cats want nothing to do with this tape. As soon as her paws stuck, that was it. No bueno. Now furniture corners are circumvented by a barely glued of these adhesive strips. For them, the mere sight of a strip of duct tape is enough to discourage them. In a way, that's really good. Once the sticky side is exposed it will pick up hair, dust and the like and keep the corners of your furniture clean, but over time it will become less sticky and therefore less effective as a deterrent and will need to be replaced. An effective tool to prevent your cat(s) from ripping the corners of your furniture. Or you could be totally insane like us and think these duct tape strips are a gift and a great way to break speed records by sliding around the bottom of the couch. Who are we to stand in the way of cat fame dreams?
