Review on Continental PremiumContact 6 315/45 R21 116Y summer by Micha Sawecki ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great value for the money, definitely recommended!

I purchased 245/45 R18 on an A6 and skated the season. To drive throughout the city at a comfortable high pace, I was seeking for decent tires. The initial impressions are overwhelmingly positive; I found what I was looking for, and there have been no tire-related concerns. I don't intend to climb into a rut, they grip the road well, they hold it on wet roads, the ride is smooth, and there is less noise than with the Michelin winter Velcro (Pilot Alpine 4). Despite a few occasions flying into the pits, there were no hernias, wounds, or other nonsense. Screw that was caught doesn't count. For the winter, I brought a Velcro Continental. I ride while I wait for frost.

Pros
  • Low noise level, excellent road contact under all circumstances
Cons
  • I wasn't prepared for the tire profile to be that rounded when I made the purchase (__). Prior to that, the profile was |___| and there were Michelins, which appeared to be clearer and more intriguing. I was also embarrassed by the high gloss on the profile because of the patterns. Of course, this is subjective. I'm used to it now. The disc is better protected against grinding with a curb, which is a drawback.
