Draws up liquid without doing anything and it evaporates

It didn't happen right way, maybe a week after I bought it. I used for acetone and it drew the liquid up without pressing on it and made it all evaporate. Worse yet when I first found out it was because I picked it up too quickly and it spilled everywhere. This is a waste of money.
