The name of this AVR is misleading. This is not a 125W x 9 AVR. It is 125W with 2 controlled channels. Do not be fooled. It is very warm. Give it at least 3 inches to breathe. The firmware is a little buggy at the moment. When I plug in my cable box, the AVR refuses to wake up to my Apple TV. My previous AVR didn't have this problem. Odessa says my rear speakers are out of phase. My previous AVR didn't have this problem. Sometimes I hear distorted dialogue from the world around me. Rather than dialogue, it's more of a hiss when people talk. Strange problem, but my previous AVR didn't have this problem. At the moment I think this is buggy. I gave him 4 inches and it wasn't enough. Make sure you give him enough room to breathe. I recently bought an external amplifier and the AVR is now in preamp mode. He works harder. I also solved the problem with the cable box. Turn off the power for a minute and this will solve the HDMI negotiation problems.
