Simply a must!

I give this product 5 stars for a reason. It works! When I first started selling my studio mono flashes and buying my first pwTT5s, I decided to use my Pocket Wizard TT5 mounted Canon 580exII flashes in my Westcott Apollo Orbs, initially WITHOUT AC5s (at first I didn't see a need). I took her to the backyard and started filming with my son about 3ft from the device in the ball. Worked without any problems. Added a few more lights on the stands (no orbs, just open flashes on tt5) and it went CRAZY! Some fired, others didn't respond. So I took a quick look at the little cloth covers that came with the tt5 (the AC5s I left in the boxes) and realized how important they are to quell radio interference. Long story short, these cloth shields snap onto my Canon strobes very easily (580exII are very RF noisy btw) and come with an extension that creates a barrier between the PW and the light. The tarpaulin pull loop closed tightly under the boom and the boom! NO RF interference! So I quickly grabbed them all and placed them on top of each unit and all my lights glowed nice and evenly! Even the one trapped in the sphere! I was even able to add an extra Velcro 580 to what's inside the ball (double RF) and both fired with no problems. I use my AC3 zone controllers so I don't have to visit my lights except to change the zoom length for a random "look" I want. A must have in your arsenal if you are a strobist using loud HF flashes! toddemedia.com
