Considering the price and the Thule name, don't expect much more, but this is a very high quality (and slightly overpriced) backpack designed for what? to keep your laptop safe - it's padded around the sides and edges (which many backpacks forget) and has a ton of storage in a semi-waterproof sleeve, but I'm still a bit confused. The form factor and storage methods (two deep segments with multiple quick access pockets at the top in one) seem to lend it to camping/hiking wear, as it has far fewer pockets than something like a Swiss backpack to easily segment your items. but the inclusion of a laptop sleeve seems to make it a more versatile backpack that's still good for outdoor activities. I've never considered taking my laptop on a hike or bike ride, but I think I appreciate the opportunity. Since you will be filling them with clothes or other bulky items, but you will also need a dedicated laptop protection slot, this is a great backpack for you. The market seems a bit niche, but it seems to exist.
