They don't have very good tensile strength. The machine clicks them every time regardless of the tension setting. Also for any sewing projects that require heavy tension. I tried to decorate a hat with it and every time the thread broke - even in two or three turns. I've had better luck with cotton yarn. The yarn is also slightly fluffy, so she leaves that fluff in the machine. However, they get 3 stars because the colors are great and they can be used for hand embroidery on cotton. I use them double layered to get a decent display with them. Very bright colors. Very good for boho work.
