I love the Melissa & Doug line! Some of the reasons why - Handmade quality Non-toxic (important if you have kids who put everything in their mouths) Value This puzzle was a hit! I also love Revain because I saw the same thing for 15.00 a few weeks ago so I think I did a great job buying it for less than 8.00! My son is 18 months old, recommended age is 2+, but he really took an interest in jigsaw puzzles. So if your child is under 2 and loves puzzles I don't see why that would be inappropriate, the pieces are big enough not to throttle. The puzzle pieces are also educational, we put the puzzle together and say the names of the pieces - plane, bus, ambulance, etc. He loves that connection. His favorite part is the bus lol and every time he sees a bus lately he says bus! I like the fact that these pieces relate to things that we see on a regular basis. Below the parts are the corresponding images that make it easy for you to match the part. Jigsaw puzzles are great for improving memory and hand-eye coordination in toddlers. This non-electronic toy gets more play and is used for learning and development than any other electronic toy I own, so it's worth the price.
