Review on πŸ“» Enhanced Sony DSX-S300BTX Digital Media Receiver with iPod Direct Control using USB and Bluetooth (No Longer Manufactured) by Christina Love

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great main digital music device

I really like this device. Or maybe it's just because I feel like the Sony guys when operating the device - I don't know. I installed the unit in my jeep in about 5 minutes using the universal wiring harness adapter. I connected my iPod to the Tune Tray and was scrolling through album titles in seconds. It takes a few seconds to "read" the iPod, which is understandable given that it contains around 40GB of music. It was easy for me to adjust the equalizer; First I used the Gravity preset and then tweaked it a bit. I really liked the listening room feature that I installed on the left front seat as I drive alone most of the time. It sounds great and is loud enough for my car. This unit was a little more expensive than some I've reviewed, but not bad considering Bluetooth is on. Unlike the previous unfortunate reviewer, I knew exactly what I was getting. I use Tune Tray for my iPod and connect my iPhone 3GS via bluetooth to stream music from iPhone. I've used all sorts of apps so far (Napster, Pandora, etc.) with no problems. Using a USB stick on the front USB input works great too - it's a better receiver than some as it supports AAC files in addition to MP3s. Bottom line: I now have access to an almost unlimited amount of music and can really find what I want without cumbersome buttons and inefficient navigation.
