Great headphone set!

First of all you need an amplifier, DAC or other sound card to drive these things. I connect mine to the Logitech G560 speakers on the back and have yet to turn that audio on. It is what it is. BUT it is absolutely amazing. I was afraid to leave HyperX Cloud Core. I've been really considering buying the Takstar Pro 82, for those who don't know, the Takstar Pro 80-82 are basically the same as the HyperX range - they're the same headphones repurposed for gaming. I didn't buy Takstars because the headphone jack on the cup was 2.5mm not 3.5mm. deal breaker. I thought of the Status Audio CB1 and honestly would have picked it if the build had been better. I bought mine for $62 and could easily have paid double that. The music is crystal clear and the bass is so pronounced that bassheads might even catch a glimpse. The games room is pleasant, very spacious and airy. Don't be afraid of that statement, I was and am so glad I took the chance here. Basically, the positioning is head and shoulders over any "gaming" headset. I was also afraid of the open design and no one mentioned it in their reviews, so I'll write here. They are half open. It bleeds, but you don't hear everything directly when someone else is wearing them. They are not closed but you will not be disturbed by anyone in the same room. It's ok, don't worry about it, they're practically closed. The design is excellent, a good metal frame. The wearing comfort is amazing. The clamps are snug on the head but quickly come off like a baseball glove or I just get used to it. If you can find them under $100, just buy them. Excellent multimedia headphones.
