I leave a review from the point of view of a tutor and an amateur artist. Despite all the above jambs, there is simply nothing better than the iPad on the tablet market. (Samsungs, they say, are good, but most of the software and UI inside applications are simply not optimized for the large screen of the tablet, and therefore "what maemo, then maemo") The good news is that you do not have to carry heaps of textbooks and printouts. You can sort study files and complete assignments right on the screen. Draw, trace, make arrows in English textbooks. Children especially like to move the stylus across the screen. There are no questions here: for pupils, students and tutors - must-have! At the same time, I do not consider myself the most "artistic" artist - but I think that if this is not a profession but a hobby, then you can get much more pleasure from the iPad than from standard graphics tablets. Verdict: Since I bought it in the Market for 40,000 - 10 out of 10! For a nominal price of 50k + a new Pencil for 11k + a case, a film, an adapter, a keyboard and a mouse, and even without a SIM card, a toad would strangle it specifically.
- Very light and beautiful. The build quality is, as expected, excellent. The performance of the new chip will be enough for 3-5 years ahead. According to the experience of past years, the OS will be ated for at least another 5 years. The ability to connect almost any peripheral (Monitors, flash drives, mice, speakers, internet cable, etc.) A screen with a resolution of 2k (Well, conditionally, of course) with a P3 color gamut and full lamination. Smooth interface. The amount of RAM is 4GB. (Need more for work tasks. A good benchmark is Procreate. On an iPad with 2GB of RAM, the painter allows 22 layers in my working canvas resolution, and on the Air 4 it’s all 74. This was the deciding factor for the purchase) Apple Pencil 2 is much more convenient than the first, especially in terms of charging and storage. Smart cellular module. Outstanding battery. 7 hours in work tasks and up to 11 hours in content consumption.
- About the shortcomings, as always better in more detail: Screen - When the device is tilted by 45 degrees, the display of colors noticeably changes to some very wrong ones. How and why? On Pro 9.7 2022, everything was much better! This is not very noticeable if you do not work with graphics, but as an ARTIST, it is very offensive to me. Memory - 64GB. Yes, there is a 256GB upgrade, but have you seen the prices for it? Flash drives - It would seem that they solve the problem with small memory. No, they don't! I almost lost a 20GB project file from Procreate due to the fact that my flash drive was not formatted for the Apple file system. That is, we can conclude that the iPad does not know how to work correctly with NTFS and FAT32. You can format flash drives in APFS format or similar, but only on a Mac, which I don’t have, and open the disk on Windows using crutches even if you find a friend with a poppy who will do this feint with your ears for you. Photoshop still works through one place. The screen is super crisp. 3 seconds and the whole screen is splattered! Body color is faded. I got drunk, of course, but on promo materials it looked juicy, but live it was just gray with a bluish sheen.
