Review on 💡 GoWISE Power PS1003: 2000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter w/ 3 AC Outlets, 1 USB Port, Remote Switch & 2 Battery Cables - 4000W Peak (Grey) by Chris Pettway

I realize I bought this product a few years ago and it is definitely not under warranty. I felt the need to let other people know how I felt about this " 2000 watt inverter. There were many good reviews when I bought it and I certainly don't remember seeing so many 1 star reviews describing what I experienced. I bought this inverter to control small appliances in our van. As mentioned in other 1-star reviews, it powers sub-1000W devices quite well with no complaints. However, I bought a 1.8 liter hot water cooker to boil water for coffee, cleaning and the like. It's rated at 1500 watts and is quite comfortable on its own when used internally on a test run. When I ran it in the van with 2 x 120Ah batteries it only ran for a second or two before going into crash mode. ok weird So I ran the engine on a 250 amp alternator to keep up with the juice. So now this system has 3 batteries plus a huge alternator and is still drawing a huge amount of voltage. And it still goes into error mode. If I press and hold the kettle's power button, I can get it to stay on and work (only when the car is running) even when the voltage warning sounds. And the inverter itself is very hot. I'm concerned about the risk of fire right now when trying to power this thing, which costs 25% less than advertised. Instead of buying a new inverter for my good kettle I bought a cheaper 1000w kettle which seems to be working fine so far. But I'll keep an eye on this thing as long as it's related. Update: I threw away the lead acid batteries and installed 280Ah lithium iron phosphate batteries hoping the voltage drop might be causing my poor performance. And after further testing with proper ammeters I confirmed that I can't draw more than 118 amps at 12.6v or just less than 1500 watts continuous no matter how it's connected. This is obviously false advertising.
