See image. Tells a story. After being very happy with the previous generation straps, I bought new ones (I damaged the buckle on one of my original straps by accidentally bumping into it). The new straps are very inferior in every way: they have an IMO low-buckle design, they're thinner in width, thinner in thickness, and the material is obviously inferior (less pliable). Look at the picture to compare the new straps to the original strap I still have: the difference will be obvious. One of my "new" straps "fails" after the 4th or 5th use - just tired, flimsy, and torn - while holding a ladder strapped to a minivan roof rack. Luckily, I managed to, on the interstate to stop before the stairs flew off. Unfortunately I can't seem to return it (there is no longer a back button in the order history). Doesn't use current generation straps to attach anything to the rack. Won't buy again, will be one of the Try competitor products, hopefully they are closer in quality to the original titanium straps.
