I have included two photos with this review. One of these is the view that the wearer has when looking straight down, at eye level, meaning they see exactly what the wearer's eyes see. The second image shows a light pattern cast on the ground. There is a large dark zone between the wearer and the moment the first useful light hits the ground. These two things are important for several reasons. 1) For people taller than 5 feet 7 inches or so, there will never be light between your legs and where the first light hits the ground about 7 feet away from you. That is, unless you're tipping your chest down, which means you're probably fine running, but if you're out for a walk or walking your dog, there's a big blind spot to trip over nearby could cracks. , stones or uneven paving joints. This happened to me three times in two days, and once an old injury got worse. I'm just guessing the height of the owner. I'm 6ft 1in tall and the light hits the ground about 8-9ft in front of me when I'm standing up straight and the light is "down" because it's not adjustable. More on that later. 2) If you ACTUALLY look down to see if there are any obstructions or imperfections on the pavement or anything within 7 feet of you, you will be blinded by the light, making up-close visibility even worse than just a blind spot. For people who have never owned such a flashlight before, these problems may not be so obvious. But I replaced my previous running/running light with this one and the previous one still available from Revain was better in 3 ways: 1) The light swivels up and down. This allows you to control where the floor is lit. 2) The beam itself is more focused than the (too) wide pattern this model is trying to make do with. 3) The straps on the other side have a reflective band and the plastic wire clips on this are easy to move freely and separate from the shoulder strap. on uneven/non-ideal surfaces instead of this model: https://www.amazon.com/ALOVECO-Outdoor-Running-Rechargeable-Adventure/dp/B078Y67SFL/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=chest+running+light&qid= 1603503685&sr= 8-5
