This is an economical, environmentally friendly way to clear slow or clogged drains. As other reviewers have said, there are almost no instructions, but simply run the tape down the drain until a clog appears, then hold the pistol grip and twist the auger to "grab" the obstruction by you push it in or pull it back. To clean it, throw the unwound part that was inside the whistle in the tub and rinse with bleach, then hang to dry. Apply a light coat of WD40 before rolling it back up. Not the easiest of tools (considering you're running it in a pipe, it's not too bad), you can get dirty, but it's better than paying a plumber. for a small block.
