I've been looking for a paper screen protector option and found a lot of people saying it's very boring, doesn't last long and will damage the tip of the Apple Pencil. At first I was frustrated that paper, like the iPad, wasn't everything it was supposed to be and decided to buy this screen protector. I thought the shine would be good. Listen, all artists looking for a good iPad experience, this is a screen protector! The screen looks like it has no protective film. And since the tread is solid, it doesn't blister if dust gets underneath it, which is great! It also comes with 3 that will come in handy. I used 2 to install correctly. Most importantly, the drawing experience is in perfect order! If you want more friction, just slip on one of these Apple Pencil overlays and you'll be fine, but I promise you won't be disappointed.
