Music Therapist: I bought a set of 3. I used it with a non-verbal student and added the existing Big Mac buttons at their school so they could communicate their wants/needs. I was happy with the sound quality. It was easy to write down short phrases like "I want to play the guitar". I took shots with the device about 1 foot from my mouth. It's difficult to determine how much pressure is required to activate the buttons. Of course, unlike the more expensive versions, the buttons do NOT have transparent covers that you can put an image/word under to show what the button is used for, but you can attach an ID to the button. (All the recordings I made sounded great on playback. If your recordings sound bad, I suggest speaking at a normal volume and trying to position the device at different distances from your mouth - further may be better - or recorded in rooms with varying degrees of "liveliness" before returning the devices.)
