I've been shooting weddings with it for about two months. It replaced my Canon 135L. First impressions were that it was much heavier and built like an animal. After about four weddings I am very impressed. It focuses much faster than the Canon and is very sharp. When receiving in the dark, I still have trouble autofocusing without the assist light, but it's a lot better than my old lens. I mostly shot at 2.8. I don't usually upgrade to 1.8 unless I really need some extra light. I shoot 4 with a grip so it's pretty well balanced. I'm also quite a tall guy, so the size doesn't bother me. I could see someone who was smaller or had someone with a smaller camera body that felt it was too heavy or too big.
