AMD is back in the game! Finally an update from my FX8350. I have an I7 7700k as a secondary computer and the 5 1600 is on par in many ways and saves a decent amount of money over the blue team; It's also more energy efficient with a TDP of 65W! I use this chip most of the time for gaming, but I'm even more confident in its performance for graphic design, photo editing, video coding, etc. The only downsides of my chip are: slightly unstable overclocking above 3.9GHz. I manually set it to 3.8GHz in my UEFI but it went to 3.9 and setting it to 3.9 or higher prevents it from booting properly. I am using an MSI B350 Mortar which may be the cause. Also, my chip gets temperatures around 68Β°C while the ambient temperature is 23.3Β°C, which is a bit higher than I would like, but that only happens occasionally. Finally, it doesn't perform as well as my I7 in some games like Fortnite or Assassin's Creed Origin, and I play 4K, so the Ryzen chip becomes a bottleneck for my system at times. As a result, AMD has always been a value. about Intel, and yes I would happily buy this chip again!
