Review on Used AMD AthlonX4 750X 65W/750K 100W (Random) Socket FM2+ Quad-Core 3 by Jnis Krsli ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good balance of price/quality, recommend it.

I bought AMD Athlon X4 760K for my second home computer. I myself use the Core i3 3240 more often. The Intel processor is a little faster and colder (by 10-15 degrees). AMD's four cores do not give a big advantage, although those who like to play tanks and do not want to spend extra money on INTEL products may well take a closer look at this Athlone. I put a Katana 4 cooler on it at a cost of 940, and still the idle temperature is about 40 degrees. Intel has a cooler for 280 and an idle temperature of 30-32 degrees. Athlon x4 760K in tanks heats up under 55, which is not critical. So if you have 4000-6000 in your pocket. buy any Intel and don't worry if it's a bummer with finances, feel free to take this processor from AMD for 2400, but do not forget to buy a good cooler for at least 800 - 1200. In general, I am satisfied with Athlone. Still, 4 cores (though not full-fledged) for such a ridiculous price. Impressions are positive. There are no claims to the stone yet. FPS in WoT with an Nvidia GTX 660 video card never dropped below 40. On average, it keeps fps at the level of 50-70 (graphics settings are high, but not ultra). Happy shopping everyone!

Pros
  • For its price, the percentage is normal (I bought it for 2400). Whoever has problems with money, take it boldly, you will not regret it. Pulls everything that is needed for the layman on a solid four with a plus. The mother for this stone also purchased an inexpensive one - MSI A78-G41 Mate (MS-7793). Memory Samsung two dies of 8 gigabytes PC3-12800 (800 MHz). Everything is up, everything works.
Cons
  • It gets hotter than Intel processors. And this is an indisputable fact. I am talking about this so confidently, because I am also a happy owner of a Core i3 3240 on socket 1155. Intel's dual-core processor with four threads will be slightly faster than AMD's dual-module quad-core Athlon X4 760K, but it also costs 1,550 more than AMD's creation.
