I bought these to have a set of admin images for the different software packages I manage for my company. They work well for this purpose, read speeds seem good, and the strap loop allows me to keep all my drives together so I can easily find what I need. The problem, as others have said, is write speed. An average of 9-10 MB/s is very slow for a USB 3.0 device. It's not a deal killer for me as I write once and read many times rather than constantly changing files on hard drives, but for those who use them to actually transfer data look elsewhere for something that at least does the advertised ones speeds reached. "Up to 100MB/s" is seriously misleading as I've never seen any of these drives go above 12MB/s for any length of time. And for those who might try to discredit my comments, the speeds I'm seeing are the same for over a dozen computers of different ages and specs, and for transferring many small files or a single large file. If I were to use them for anything other than static storage I would return them in a heartbeat.
