NOT USB3 - DO NOT BELIEVE THE POSITIVE REVIEWS

These are NOT USB3. Either it's fake or SanDisk is lying about the speed of these drives. The maximum transfer rate for these drives is 15 MB/s. They were connected to USB3 and USB3.1 interfaces. The average write speed was around 12 MB/s. Stay away!

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Crumpled

Super fast best in stock

These drives are great and the price is right. Hopefully you can see the speed test in the attached screenshot with an average read time of 161.9 MB/s and an average write time of 36.9 MB/s. These drives are very fast. The product is very good and worth the money. By the way, this is my second purchase of these discs. You guessed it (I love them).

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Good cheap USB 3.0

Bought them to install Linux, multiple distros. I really only need 8GB. Not exactly $5 a piece though, it's a great value. Tests show they use the USB 3.0 specification. I need them read-only after "burning" the ISO once. Works great for me. I've actually done it really well (running Linux directly from a flash drive).

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Some of them don't work best on USB sticks

This is my second time ordering SanDisk 5 pack USB sticks. Both times some don't work. Returned the first bad one. Not worth the headaches and frustrations of support. Buy recommendation not! Edit (a few hours later): After sending a message to the seller, CWP Online, I'm sure they will replace the faulty flash drive. I no longer have to experience the frustration of SanDisk/Western Digital. I was disappointed when I wrote the first review and over time I have purchased many SanDisk products. I

The perfect reusable USB sticks

Works exactly as intended. I needed a pair of relatively fast but inexpensive 16GB+ USB 3 flash drives. This package fits. I mainly use them for burning ISOs and installing operating systems on computers. Installing Windows (10, Server 2016) and Manjaro Linux on SSD machines usually takes 5-10 minutes (so pretty fast). Of course, they also work to record files with decent write speeds and good reads. Speed. I like to keep a pair on hand and occasionally lose a pair here and there, so I'll…

Pros
  • Best in their niche
Cons
  • Slightly torn

I formatted it to NTFS and tested it with a huge 7GB ISO file. The 7GB write speed started at around 25-40MB/s but then dropped to 13MB/s. 7GB read speed supports 150+ MB/s for the entire file. Wow. It warmed up while reading a huge file, but stayed colder than expected. great product Great. Except that large writes of several GB are quite slow.--------------- -- - ----------- EDIT - December 2019 This is the last batch, which I have just received in identical packaging to the previous…

One of the 5 drives didn't work

My set of 5 SanDisk Ultra USB 3.0 16GB flash drives (SDCZ48-016G-U46 on the barcode) came with each of the 5 individually boxed drives (which can also sold in packs). One of the drives was dead on arrival. When I plugged it into a USB port and tried to access it using Windows 10 File Explorer, the computer screen locked and the only thing that unlocked it was removing the drive from the USB port. Even CTRL-ALT-DEL couldn't open anything, and the Windows 10 command to safely eject the drive…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Security

They work well for this purpose, the read speed seems good, and the .

I bought these to have a set of admin images for the different software packages I manage for my company. They work well for this purpose, read speeds seem good, and the strap loop allows me to keep all my drives together so I can easily find what I need. The problem, as others have said, is write speed. An average of 9-10 MB/s is very slow for a USB 3.0 device. It's not a deal killer for me as I write once and read many times rather than constantly changing files on hard drives, but for those…

Quickly! The Most Reliable Flash Drives I've Found!

I'm a professional photographer and most of my work comes via USB 3 flash drives. popular brand of USB sticks. I've used SanDisk 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB Cruzer Ultra drives for years without a single failure. You should be aware that a 16GB flash drive will NOT provide 16GB of data storage. , I'll never understand what is, but you're limited. Each drive must reserve space for firmware, reducing the capacity of your drive. So get a drive with a capacity well in excess of what you really need. The…
