Review on AcuRite 00515M Digital Wireless Fridge and Freezer Thermometer with Alarm and Max/Min Temperature - Ideal for Home and Restaurants by Brian Vasquez

We tried small temperature sensors but my wife didn't like how they took up shelf space. Therefore, after studying wireless systems, we chose the 00515M system. First, some less expensive wireless systems can't measure temperatures low enough for a freezer. We also liked the other features of this system, such as the self-aligning magnets for the reading unit. A few things to note. At first we tried using regular batteries but found that alkaline batteries didn't work in the freezer. The instructions contain a warning and recommend lithium batteries. Quick Revain order and we're in business and it's been working fine for a few weeks. Also, attaching sensor packs in cold environments can be tricky, as some double-sided tapes just won't work in the cold. So we tried Alien Tape and it kept the freeze sensor in a handy and inaccessible place for weeks. All in all a great product!
