Great way to keep an eye on fridge temperature

We tried small temperature sensors but my wife didn't like how they took up shelf space. Therefore, after studying wireless systems, we chose the 00515M system. First, some less expensive wireless systems can't measure temperatures low enough for a freezer. We also liked the other features of this system, such as the self-aligning magnets for the reading unit. A few things to note. At first we tried using regular batteries but found that alkaline batteries didn't work in the freezer. The…

Nice when it works

I have 3 of these, they work in 3 fridges and 3 freezers, on 3 different channels. They are easy to set up and easy to read. According to the receivers, the signals propagate through a half-dozen interior and exterior walls with little loss of power, and my total distance is about 75 feet. Five of the six sensors work very well, matching my mechanical thermometers to within about 2F. . After just one week, the sixth sensor (in the refrigerator) deviated by 16 degrees compared to the other…

Excellent - Accurate - Economy Bottom Freezer

This unit is easy to install and operate. It takes about 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize. Place the screen a few meters away from the refrigerator. He keeps in touch and is always working. The screen is easy to read from a distance of several meters, although it is not backlit. We bought our new GE Profile French Door temperature control refrigerator. Some reviews of this fridge suggested that it had trouble maintaining temperature, especially in the freezer. Of course, about a week…

Accurate, easy to use and readable but has one major flaw

I took their advice and paid heavily for the recommended lithium ion batteries which should perform better in cooler temperatures . They failed immediately (no signal). I then used standard alkaline batteries and they have worked great ever since. I use them in both of my freezers (instead of the one in the fridge) which go down to -6F and have been working great for months. There is a freezer in my storage room, about fifteen meters from the display case. and the other is in my kitchen just 25

So much time for it to work

We bought two of these Acurite thermometers from Revain. Temperatures observed in the refrigerator were first 10 degrees Fahrenheit, then 20+ degrees Fahrenheit. Basically useless. The devices had several problems: The probe's low battery indicator was missing from the monitors. The refrigerator sensor signal level (#13 in the manual) was not working. I physically attached the sensor to the side of the external monitor but there was still no signal. The temp in the fridge was 20-30 degrees…

Great for Freezer/Fridge Monitoring

We finally got the chest freezer and the butcher ordered a whole pig so we wanted to make sure it was safe. The thermometer arrived today. First impressions: 1. The packaging was good. Little waste and mostly recyclable corrugated cardboard. Everything was included (except batteries) and in excellent condition.2. Batteries are installed (you will need (7) AA - three for the display and two for each sensor). New alkalines installed and immediately the display started showing room temperature. A…

Critical Freezer Alarm System That Works!

We have three chest freezers, two of which are hidden in the basement and full of vegetables from the garden, game from the farm and meat from our nephew's farm. The problem is the loss of one or both in the event of a GFCI and its contents being triggered. One freezer is about a year old and the other is only a few months old. I've seen this system recommended in the FB group and the feedback from Revain seems to be positive. So I decided to give it a try, especially as it has a Wi-Fi…
