Review on 🚙 Hayes 81790 Genesis: Proportional Self-Leveling Brake Controller Unleashed! by James Hardy

Bought from a local store about 2 years ago. At first I liked him a lot, did everything he was supposed to do, but after the first year he started to behave. At first the brakes started to bind, we turned it off, let it sit for a while and then plugged it back in. It was fine for a while, then the same thing over and over again! Eventually it stopped doing that and instead decided to break a lot. I looked at the device and it was in the high 40's and sometimes over 50? I was only towing a small trailer with two horses and could barely use the brakes, it was so stuck it was dangerous! That's when I stopped and said enough is enough! Turned off and thrown in the trash! I thought this block was going to take longer than it was worth. Maybe I just got lucky with this particular model? Other than that, I wouldn't buy another one.
