Our iguana is about 4-5 inches from nose to tail. We bought him this hammock and he *loves* it. He is currently in a 12x18 Zilla vertical pen and the hammock fits him. It covers about half of the cage and I wouldn't recommend medium or large for a case of this size. The suction cups must be pressed very firmly against the glass to adhere. At first you think they won't work, but if you apply enough pressure they stay there and stay there. Suction cups and glass must be clean for good adhesion. We haven't had any problems with the holes in the net detaching from the suction cups, but our iguana is still very small. Too much weight may cause the suction cup holes to slip and fall. So if we enlarge his cage, he will definitely get a bigger hammock. And it's very easy to clean! We just put it in the wash tub, rinse out all the debris and clean it (along with all the rest of the cage) with dish soap and a brush. Then quickly spray with disinfectant and you're done. The material of the hammock is elastic and flexible and has little smell. He's on artificial respiration, but the holes aren't big enough to accommodate his tiny toes. The best part is that he loves this thing and almost never strays from it.
