Only for Rowenta irons or irons with stainless steel soleplates. It works great and costs less than other similar products. It removes the dirt from the bottom of your iron and makes it glide smoothly again. Allow the iron to heat up, then place it on a cloth and rub over the soiled soleplate (careful, HOT) or place it slightly on a terry towel and run the iron over the product without steam. The product turns black on the towel, like a metal polish. If it doesn't work the first time, apply a little more paste to the other part of the towel and repeat the process. It removed everything I've ever ran into with my iron like the wrong size meltdown, meltdown, sticky side of meltdown (sticky and fluffy!), melted polythene, burnt cotton, Elmer's school glue, fabric glue, and double-sided Duct tape. Even after all this, the bottom of my iron still looks almost new.
